Lutheran Campus Ministry is proud to announce our new partnership with Second Harvest Foodbank of Southern Wisconsin. This summer LCM’s Taste of Grace Lunch was approved as a partner meal site and beginning this fall, we will obtain fresh produce and dairy at no cost from the food bank and non-perishable foods for a small handling fee of 18 cents per pound.  Last year LCM served over 20,000 meals for less than $1 per meal. This year, those costs will be even lower as a result of this new partnership.

This year, the Wisconsin HOPE Lab at UW-Madison released its third national survey on basic needs insecurity at Colleges and Universities. Over 20,000 students at 35 four-year colleges participated. According to the study 36% of students were food insecure in the 30 days preceding the survey. The Taste of Grace Lunch is an important resource for students who are experiencing hunger.
