Interested in developing a close community of faith in which to reflect on God’s presence in daily life?  Want to grow in relationship with God through knowledge and faith practices? Lutheran Campus Ministry’s Faith & Vocation Fellowships and Student Ministry Internships might be for you!  

Student Ministry Internships are service-learning positions designed to provide opportunities for students to experience leadership in a campus ministry environment, serving students in Christ’s name. General Program Requirements

All Fellows & Interns will participate in two cohort meetings per month. Meetings will take place from 1pm to 3pm on Sunday afternoons. These meetings will include three parts:

  • Time for group conversation and reflection on issues and topics inspired by experiences in service sites and daily life.
  • Introduction to topics related to the Christian faith including Biblical Interpretation, Lutheran Theology and Practice, and Faith in Daily Life.
  • A short time for collective spiritual practices based on ancient and contemporary forms of prayer such as contemplative prayer, mindfulness meditation, lectio divina (meditation on scripture), etc.

Each program is a year-long commitment of approximately 10 hours per week during the academic year, excluding finals (15 weeks per semester). Each Fellow will receive a stipend of $400 per month September – May (9 months).

All participants are expected to participate in the fall Leadership Retreat, which will take place August 29-31 at a nearby retreat center and an end of year celebration April 29, 2024. Student Ministry Interns will have a 30-minute weekly meeting either before/after worship and dinner on Thursday night.
