Student Ministry Internship

Lutheran Campus Ministry equips and employs student ministers to share their faith in concrete ways as leaders in our community on campus. Student ministry internships are designed to provide opportunities for students to:
- Grow in their relationship with God through knowledge and faith practices
- Share Christ with other students in concrete ways by ministering to others at Lutheran Campus Ministry
- Gain leadership skills for ministry in areas such as outreach, worship, study, and social justice.
Program Details
The Student Ministry Internship program is a year-long commitment of approximately 10 hours per week during the academic year, excluding finals week (15 weeks per semester). Each intern will receive a stipend of $400 per month September – May (9 months).
The program consists of two parts: regular faith formation in the twice-monthly cohort group and service at Lutheran Campus Ministry.
The cohort meetings will be held about twice per month during the academic term. These meetings will include three parts:
- A check in time for group conversations and reflection on issues and topics related to programming at Lutheran Campus Ministry as it applies to your internship.
- Workshopping/planning for upcoming events, etc.
Conversation on topics related to God’s calling in daily life, living in community as Christians, and Lutheran Theology. - A time for instruction in and the participation in Spiritual practices, which can range from meditation, to guided imagery, dwelling in scripture, etc.
